Free Holiday Yoga Nidra

My gift to the community is a free online Yoga Nidra class.

With the holiday shopping, cooking, and eating season in full swing, it is time to take a bit of self-care relaxation for yourself.

I will guide you through this profound meditation that helps to tap deeply into your true self. By the end of the practice you may feel a little more refreshed and relaxed. The focus of this yoga nidra session is on stress release. An added bonus is that It may also help you to sleep a little better tonight.


You will be on your back (or seated) for almost an hour. So, it is good to be ready with some props. Suggested props:

  • Yoga mat (or blanket or towel, or bed)
  • (Comfortable chair with arms if you plan to sit)
  • Pillows and/or bolsters. As much padding beneath you as possible
  • Eye pillows add an extra benefit.
  • An extra blanket and socks if you tend to get cold.

Cozy on up and enjoy this wonderful meditative experience. Yoga Nidra is a relaxing restorative practice. Great refreshment during holiday season. You will thank yourself!

De-stress & Improve Sleep
Relax and refresh into a good night's sleep. It is said that 15 minutes of of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 1 hour of sleep. Laurie will guide you through this profound meditation that helps you tap deeply into your true self and feel refreshed and relaxed by the end of this practice.

You will be seated or on your back for almost an hour. So, it is good to be ready with some props. Suggested yoga mat (or blanket, towel or bed), chair with arms if you plan to sit. Gentle Yoga + Yoga Nidra Combo

This class will last 1.5 hours. The first part will be Gentle Yoga that prepares your body and eases you into a deep 30 minute meditation. Bring your own mat. This is a combination class, so you will receive a deep discount on Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra classes, if you sign up for this offering. Classes must be taken back to back to qualify for this discount.

Private Lessons

Each one of us is unique and we don’t all fit into a class setting. These one on one sessions are tailored specifically for you. Laurie will begin work with you by doing an assessment to come up with an effective plan that fits with your goals and fills your needs. These sessions are held either at your home or in studio. Yoga for Seniors

As we age, our bodies have different needs. Fortunately, yoga is an enduring practice that can be adapted to your needs wherever you are in your life stages. All my classes and teachings are tailored to older adults meeting you where you are right now. Yoga for Seniors is NOT chair yoga. Although we may do some poses in a chair, the chair will be used mostly as a prop. Most poses are done traditionally incorporating props and modifications, as needed. Yoga for Strength, Flexibility & Balance

This class focuses on strength, flexibility and balance. It is good for all ages, particularly for those bodies that have a lot of life experience. Suited for all body types and yoga levels. You will be offered modifications as needed.

Props: Two yoga blocks (or 2 books about 4 inches thick), a strap (a belt or tie), a blanket, thin pillow or towel, and a yoga mat (or towel on the floor). A sturdy armless chair is optional.

You can use your cellphone or computer to access this class online.

It is optional to turn on your phone's camera. If you wish to receive feedback from the instructor, you will need space enough in your home to be about 4 to 6 feet from the device.

Yoga for Bone Building

This class is a good choice for those who have been diagnosed with conditions known as osteopenia, osteoporosis, or those who want to maintain bone health as they age.

The sequences taught during the class are based on Dr. Loren Fishman's proven yoga for bone-building series.

Props: Two yoga blocks (or 2 books about 4 inches thick), a strap (or a belt or tie), a blanket, thin pillow or towel, and a yoga mat (or towel on the floor). A sturdy armless chair is optional.
