Online Classes and Workshops.

Although, as a society we are waking up from our long-lasted cocoon stage, I will continue to offer online yoga nidra. Teaching yoga nidra online allows me to reach as many people as possible. Whether you are here in Venice, in upstate FL, Seattle, New York, Boston, or elsewhere, you have the opportunity to do this refreshing and deep meditation wherever you are. All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer so that you can connect into the class. Bring a friend.

The regular Monday night 7:30 class as well as the monthly yoga nidra workshop remain online for the foreseeable future. Foreseeable future can mean, forever or maybe not. I do not like to use extreme terminology, because we do not know what life has in store for us. At this stage though, I can see online yoga nidra classes happening for an extended period of time. Tonight's meditation theme is focused on floating in the clouds. Register here.

As you work on a regular Yoga Nidra practice, you will find that it has so many benefits for you personally. It is said that 1-hour of Yoga Nidra is worth 4 hours of sleep. I have no idea if this is a valid statement because I have scrubbed the academic literature to back this up. However, I can vouch for the fact that the time you do spend sleeping will be enhanced.

The benefits of yoga nidra are innumerable. I will name just a few here. A yoga nidra practice contributes to improved sleep habits, remediation of stress-levels, and reduction in emotional disorders such as stress, anxiety and trauma. This is why I am so committed to offering this wonderful meditation practice to as wide an audience as possible. To do this, I continue to offer these classes online. There is scientific evidence that supports these benefits. I have listed a few studies at the bottom of this message.

Yoga Nidra Workshop

I am offering my monthly 90-minute Yoga Nidra workshop on Wednesday 6/14 at 7:00 pm. The workshop is a deeper dive into yoga nidra. Whether you are a yoga nidra aficionado or just want to learn how and why this beautiful, deep meditation helps to improve your life, this workshop is for you. Register here.

Private Sessions

I am passionate about helping you be your best self. Obviously, one of my specialties is yoga nidra, but I also have a whole set of other specialities that involve yoga poses and movement that can help your body and mind. If you are looking for some personalized attention for your bone density, scoliosis, insomnia, stress, other ailments, or you just want your body and mind to feel just a little bit better, contact me for a private session. Pricing for privates is $65 for online and $75 at your home for one hour. My style of teaching is gentle and customized for your needs.

With that said, I leave you with this quote from yoga sage, B.K.S. Iyengar "Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.” Even with the physical movement of yoga and the internal search in meditation, yoga teaches us about how to handle ourselves and handle the things that come our way during this precious thing we call life.
